St. Joseph Church, Fullerton, founded in 1850, is a Roman Catholic community and place of worship located just north of Baltimore in Perry Hall, MD.

View a welcome video message from our Pastor.

In the early 19th century, 24 German immigrant families were settling a community called Necker (now called the Perry Hall/Fullerton area). In 1850, they became weary of traveling 30 miles into Baltimore City for Sunday Mass, or when they needed spiritual care. Mr. Joseph Krastel was deputized to ask the Archbishop of Baltimore if this Necker community could have a Catholic Parish of its own. The community then built a small log cabin style chapel on Buck’s Schoolhouse Road, and in November 1850, St. Joseph Parish began. The new pastor, Rev. Fr. Rumpler began a line of 25 pastors who would shepherd St. Joseph’s flock to the present day.

Now St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Fullerton, is a post Vatican II 21st century center of faith for over 4700 families. The new octagonal church, with around-the-sanctuary seating and imaginative décor, has surprised and impressed parishioners and visitors for over 40 years.

Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting St. Joseph's Web site. Please browse our many menu items to learn more about our ministries and service in the Lord. We are constantly adding new items as our ministry to God's people expands; so please visit often.

I try to always be at the main doors of the church before and after Mass, so please introduce yourself to me; I love speaking with parishioners, and especially new people, about St. Joseph's. Know that you are always welcome. Peace be with you -- see you at Mass!

Rev. Msgr. Kevin Schenning
Pastor
