Summer Bible School Registration Form

Summer Bible School is the vacation spot for our children, teenagers, adults, religious, deacons and priests. It is "the place to be" for summer vacationers who want to experience God's love in a unique way.  St. Joseph's Summer Bible School is always the last full week of June, Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm. It is for 4-year olds through 4th graders (or beginning 5th grade in the Fall).

The relaxed atmosphere is electrically filled with joy and affirmation. And everyone who vacations with us is, in just one week, drained physically, and filled up spiritually with God’s childlike joy. Our SBS allows everyone in attendance to experience the excitement of God’s love for all of us. It is a place to yell-out in praise of the Lord and his love for his children of all ages. Our SBS is not a program that lasts all year long. It does not have to be an elaborate developmental structure with complex goals and objectives, expensive kits, texts, reviews, or evaluations.

"It’s just a place to visit, not to live there."

Our key word in summer Bible School is "summer". Summertime offers us the possibility of experiencing the simple things of our faith: that God doesn’t go on a vacation from us, that experiencing God is a lifelong process, and that learning about God can be enjoyable and fun. SBS at St. Joe’s offers a relaxed atmosphere of loving and learning with Jesus. It has a milieu for study, play, and prayer. It offers a unique faith experience found in storytelling, Bible study, arts & crafts, refreshment sharing, outside play, nature walks, Bible stories, praying together, liturgy & worship, "just plain fun gifts," a closing songfest, and music and songs and music and songs and music and songs (we place a lot of emphasis on this way of praising and thanking God). Children, teens and volunteers are offered a vacation at "God’s spot." It’s like the cherry on top of the winter-long sundae we call "Sunday School."
