Caregiver Support
If you are a caregiver, you know that care giving is rewarding, but can also be a heavy burden and you’ve prayed for help. The good news is God heard your prayers and you don’t have to walk the journey alone. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have some other broad shoulders and warm hearts to help you carry the burden as a caregiver?
We have designed a special parish ministry of trusted church volunteers willing to assist parish families with caring for their loved ones so you can take some time for yourself. St. Joseph Parish and the Archdiocese of Baltimore have a commitment to maintaining the trust of the faithful. Our Care Support volunteers are required to complete the VIRTUS volunteer training.
Services Offered
-Up to 4 hours Respite Care* for Caregivers to take personal time while our volunteers remain with your loved one.
* Depending on the needs of your loved one, we may not be able to offer Respite Care as we are not medically trained – we church volunteers.
-Home Visits to either Caregivers or their Receiver upon request.
-Telephone visits to those home alone that may be lonely for conversation and to keep them updated on their Parish.

-Meals if need is determined
-Rides to appointments, shopping & pharmacy pick-ups
